After visiting the ancient ruins of the Roman town of Pompeii, we spent some time walking around the food stalls and restaurants just outside of the exit gates however they staff were very busy and could not confirm if they could appropriately accommodate for my nut allergy. Many of the restaurants used peanut oil as a cooking oil. Then we found this great Allergy Friendly pizza restaurant “Ristorante Pizzeria La Gare”! Allergens were declared on the menu and it had vegetarian and vegan options. I presented my allergen translation card and ordered a vegetarian pizza. The staff were allergy aware and helpful with any questions I had about the cooking process. No peanut oil was used in the kitchen at the time we visited.
